  Born with a terrible gift, Alke was told of her powers at a young age. Her father took a morbid interest in her magic, which frightened her. She was driven to latch onto her mother, as even her sisters were drawn to their father's philosophy. Unwillingly, she honed her magic, despite being scared of what would happen to herself.

Wanting to please her family, yet not wanting to risk her mind, Alke turned to the whispers in the tangled brambles. Sensing potential in her from her bloodline, Alke was recruited into the Dollhouse Covenant. Though not particularly enthralled by it, she found it to be a rather decent living.

Alke's magic differs from that of her sisters. She was born able to sense death, and particularly strong spirits can speak with her. Death lingers over her entire bloodline, yet she is seemingly the most attuned to it. Speaking with the dead has given her a greater sense of empathy, and she's opened herself more to enjoying the moments she has. She truly dislikes the expectations of her- she wants to live her own way. As a result, she tries to avoid any confrontations with them, always secretly hoping she can be free of her curse some day.
