Nocturna, Guardian from the Waves

A fierce guardian originally from a lair near the Leviathan trench, Nocturna found herself drawn out of the water and to the east by her search. She was at first a bit baffled to discover that the source of the pull was in fact another guardian, who was in turn watching over a then small clan of dragons headed by a small but confident fae, Tourmaline. The subject of her search, Starfall, would become her mate after a short time, and though his charge was the clan as a whole, they are fiercely loyal and defensive of each other. They have been with Lux Noir through most of its existence, and keep its interests at heart more than most anyone.

The length of time which they had spent within the clan alone made them ideal candidates when Tourmaline began to assemble his council, and Nocturna was, while not enthused, at least confident in her ability to represent the interests of the water flight. The fact that her mate is on the council makes no difference to her, and she will argue her point whether Starfall sides with her or not. So does he, and they wouldn't have it any other way. They'll bicker all day, but in they end she would still die for him, and would never hold his petty words against him.

She has never regretted joining the clan, but she still occasionally misses her home under the waves, and always looks forward to the Wavecrest Saturnalia. She is also always up to take a few dragons to the nearby tidal flats, showing them how to paddle their way through the calm pools lining the shore. They will never be as fast or able to stay under as long as a dragon of the water flight, but it brings her joy to see them splashing about in the clear blue water. The smell of the salty air will never grow tired to her.

She and Starfall have no children, and no intent for any anytime soon. They know their duties would prevent them from giving the hatchlings the care they need, and they are content with each other besides. By guarding the clan as family she is able to have the joy of watching the young ones grow and learn and is always happy to visit the nursery with Starfall when he goes.

She is one of the more laid back members of the council, and cares little for the formality some of the other members are so fond of. She especially enjoys teasing Tourmaline, as his poor sense for jokes makes him an easy mark. Her few areas of stoic seriousness have much to do with the Tidelord. Like most in her flight, she mourns the disappearance of her deity, and the want to have him back has colored more than one of her motions on the council.
