Nyota has always been a special case in her family. She was born as a creature with a mouth covering the entire underside of herself, with large, sharp teeth and many tongues on her body. This did not bother any of her family since they were all eldritch creatures of all kinds. Nyota had been forced to grow up in seclusion with her brother since many dragons would kill their family for the fact they're not considered normal to other dragons despite being harmless. When Nyota was a child, she one day disguised herself and snuck away from her family's hidden home disguised so she could see the dragon markets. While there, she nearly bumped into some children, who invited her to join them to the candy shop. Not knowing what candy really was, Nyota went with them in hopes to find out and to make friends. What Nyota saw was beautiful. Rows upon rows of colourfully wrapped sweets in jars or on shelves. She was saddened she couldn't try anything but the owner gave her a couple of free samples to try, and Nyota has loved sweets ever since. Nyota was in deep trouble for sneaking out, yelling at how dangerous that was and yadda yadda, but they were happy that Nyota was showing interest in learning how to make candys, chocolates, and cakes, so the parents had somehow gotten ahold of the necessary ingredients for Nyota to make and experiment with, with much success later in their daughter's life. Nyota loved making and eating the sweets and became very proficient in it. She even ended up inventing a treat she dubbed ice cream. When she was old enough, Nyota along with her older brother decided to leave their home to make it on their own in the world, despite their parent's worries. The duo left to find a home for them where others wouldn't chase them off for being so different. Along the way, while hiding, Nyota would make sweets to sell at any chance she got to fund their travels. It was difficult but being in somewhat contact with other dragons paid off when Nyota heard that there was a clan of monsters in arcane territory. The siblings made their way towards Arcane and eventually located the clan known as Isles of the Memoria. They were amazed at the place they found themselves in, practically the lap of luxury for the two of them. A paradise for monsters and dragons alike to live in was a pipe dream for them, now a soon to be reality. They got permission from the Queen to move in and soon Nyota was making plans to set up a sweets shop in the town and planned with the merchant to send out sweets of hers to be sold. Nyota is vain when it comes to her work. She knows she makes pretty and tasty sweets and will absolutely flaunt her success when it's appropriate. She's very sociable after being in isolation for many years of her life and she tends to be extremely excitable over more mundane things in life. One thing is certain, Nyota is a stickler to tidiness and will not have her shop or her home looking like a mess, unlike her more disorganized brother. |
