The Swallow
Skin of abyssal blue, cold as stone and eyes like crystal hue
Hair gleaming like dark amber, fluttering lashes like ashes and embers,
Your soft stone cold skin yearning for an embrace frail and thin.
But only tears swell down your face like rivers growing with rain of autumn grace.
Growing grief with sobbing tune for this love I shall prune,
And now you let yourself go to the embrace now adorning your skin of vines encased.
In ruins like your heart, stone faced and inert.
Now immovable you lie, like statue, once again
Avert still your grieving gaze same as tear filled prying eyes betrays.

@Mithian: Once a statue, her sculptor's love for his creation turned her into flesh and blood, with one small caveat - she can never fall in love with her creator, or else she will return to the stone from whence she came.
