Biography

In the end. . .

He is, by all technical definition, an Emperor.

His eye- only one remains, a dull blue spark in it- is sunken into his head.

He smells like rotting flesh.

His communication is limited to grunts and gestures.

But is he truely?

He can think. He can move.

He can obey, and that's the only trait to this two-tailed anomaly that Leonoct needs.

Azmith wasn't always like this. Once he knew. Once he remembered. Once, he even had a mate.

Once...

"Azmith!"

The Imperial swung his head up, three long hatchlings asleep in the crook of his tail. Carefully unfurling from his hatchlings, he'd follow his mate's voice up the cave entry, his head low to avoid his antlers scraping on the ceiling.

"Good morning, my dear," he'd greet, nuzzling his smaller mate gently before sitting down beside her, looking out the entrance to the small cave. Looking down to her, Azmith felt a pain in his heart. They were moving too quickly- from their home in the Shifting Expanse, a trek through the Sunbeam Ruins, family in the Sea Of A Thousand Currents, and now here, a small spot in the Windswept Plateau. She must be sick of it, he thought, he sure was. And their hatchlings having arrived, before they could get to the Starfall Isles and bless them under the Arcanist...

"What worries you?" He asked, as if he didn't lay awake at night worrying more.

The Spiral shook her head. "Nothing- nothing, Az," she replied. For a moment Azmith thought how terrible a liar she was.

"Darling, I'm... I'm sorry," he started. "I never meant for this to happen. I know how much it would've meant to you, for your children-"

The Spiral's paws found the Imperial's, squeezing them a little. She wouldn't look at him as she replied; "They're our children. It doesn't matter- it shouldn't matter what magic they have, so long as they have magic and our blood and our genes. They shouldn't need our eyes, they-"

Azmith's paw turned his mate's head towards him, a thumb wiping away the tears welling up under her eyes. "They're ours. They-"

A loud thunk startled the moment, Azmith hiding his mate behind him as he stepped out to see. "What was that?" He'd mumble, nodding for his mate to stay and guard the hatchlings as he stepped out.

His eyes widened at the sight.

"The storm- It's stopped," he said, appalled. That wasn't supposed to happen- the twisting crescendo was supposed to storm on forever. The end of his tail would finally leave the lair as he'd step out, looking around. The thunks only rose as kites fell to Sornieth, only slightly protected by the Wind dragons in them. "How-"

"Azmith!"

He almost didn't see the weighted kite falling.
