Fenian

The dragon seemed to be made of silks and starlight as he flew through the darkening sky. Ever since he was a hatchling he had an obsession with the night sky. One time when he was little he almost gave his parents a heart attack and had the whole clan looking for him. The hatchling had stayed up until he heard the soft breaths of his parents. He slowly lifted his head and looked around. It was pitch black but the male could still see what was around him thanks to the small lanterns they kept in their den. He carefully stood up and tried to not make too much noise as he escaped from his nest. Once he was out of his den he made a break for it. He ran as fast as his tiny legs would take him. The male ran to his favorite place, a cliff a bit of a ways away from the clan center. It was open and allowed those who sat on it a perfect view of the sky above. Fenian ran for what felt like hours, but finally he was here. He plopped down in the soft grass and rolled over onto his back. He looked up and just enjoyed the wonders the night skies had to offer. Eventually he passed out. Little did the male know that his parents had woken up and altered the whole clan of his disappearance. To this day his parents still brought it up at family gatherings.
