Hatchday - Born too soon

Dahlia stood on the cost again, the night before the full moon, she was uneasy as if something were going to happen to the three eggs nestled below the surface of the water. She and Oberon had traveled to the water clan, they were treated kindly, but she still felt uneasy. She saw several nest guards nod to her and she nodded back out of habit, it was her first nest and all the older dragoness assured her worry was normal.

"Love? Why are you out here?" Oberon asked coming to stand beside her.
"I'm just restless." she assured leaning against him.
"Missing home already?" he teased.

She smiled about to reply when the bubbles they had been told to look for began to surface and Dahlia to move smoothly into the water "They're hatchling early." she said confused and concerned.

Gathering her three children together and smiling contently.

Moon At Birth: Moon of Flowers

Witchborne dragons under the Moon of Flowers are skilled with herbology, making them skillful potion brewers, may it be a remedy for toothache or a poison that slowly stops the heart and makes the discoverers believe that the victim had died in their sleep. These are the dragons whom most would care to thread around, even if most Witchborne are good in potion-brewing as it is a taught and required skill for them to have. These dragons born under the Moon of Flowers are the epitomes of this deadly art, as it is their uncanny ability to be able to know without any fixed measurement the right amount of an ingredient needed, for saving or otherwise.

Elemental Alignment: Blessed by Water

When it became apparent that through the water, the other dragons could condemn those who they believed had taken their children, the element became their means to an end. But as soon as the whereabouts of Child-Eaters came to surface, it is there where the water had proved to be most fatal to those dreaded fallen witches, burning them and their putrefied physicality as if doused by acid. Witchborne who are christened under this element became adept in controlling the Mist, being able to create, draw, scry through any pool of liquid, and even purify them for their own spells, or for drinking purposes.

Personality/Background

The circumstances of his birth have haunted Lorcan for as long as he can remember. Unlike the majority of Witchborne, he wasn’t blessed by a full moon at birth. He and his siblings were born too early, and his sister paid a terrible price. Although his parents were very proud of their first clutch, it soon became clear that none of their offspring had inherited their ancestors’ full potential. Lorcan’s magical abilities are diminished, and this has greatly affected his character. Among his family, he always felt like an outsider. And he didn’t exactly try to fit in. Jealousy poisoned his soul, and he feared that his dark thoughts and violent impulses would eventually turn him into the kind of creature he was sworn to fight. So, he decided to leave his birth Clan behind and find a place where his talents were appreciated and needed and not frowned upon.

Elemental Powers/Abilities

Lorcan is not a very powerful spellcaster. He has basic magical abilities, but intricate and powerful magic eludes him. He is however a very potent potion maker. What he lacks in magical abilities, he compensates with physical strength and ingenious potions – many of them contrived by Lorcan himself. Brews that enhance the senses, facilitate healing, grant stamina and strength, but also potions that turn the blood to poison, cause hallucinations, break a dragon’s will or slowly turn them insane. The Moon of Flowers undoubtedly blessed him with great talent and skill. Since he cannot rely on spells to protect him, he decided to learn the arts of combat, barehanded and with various weapons, and he has become quite a capable warrior.
