bio ❧ A once lost hatchling. The who, whens, wheres, and hows were all topics that he long stopped thinking of. All he could know for sure was that his left wing had been marred with a grievous injury, one that never healed and it had left him compromised. He had been found and taken in by an unnamed Albino Crow, who to some extent, had done so for less than the best of intentions. There he found food, shelter and endless training, all fit for molding him into something of specific design. A tool for revenge? For power? He didn't understand the Crow's motives, but for now, it was better than being cast out into the world at large. His instincts told him that much, so he bit his tongue and danced to the tune of its fiddle. Silas never spoke his mind aloud, but also rarely let it wander. He thought only of the things in front of him, but saw no future beyond them as if he were fated only a few days on earth. This gave him a quiet, introverted personality that did not needlessly complicate things nor tangle them in feelings that would have needed deciphering. Regardless, he would be free one day. He could feel the small embers of resentment kindling in his heart, and his desire to be free from this crow's unnecessarily dirty palms. Unnecessary. That's what it was. That's how he felt. All of this was unnecessary. Futile. As he grew, he would understand that he no longer needed to obey, and there was really nothing others could do about it at this point. So he simply turned to leave one day, having felt that he already had repaid his debts in full to his pale benefactor due to the endless array of odd jobs and dirty deeds that had come his way. Things are, however, never easy in the real world. Not if even the smallest amount power is on the line. He was stopped time and time again, but he continued to push forward accruing sin after sin as his price for freedom. By the end of it all, he was a devil himself smelling of salts and metal. The weight of it was beginning to make him just a little tired... at least, until he met her. Swayed by Sylph's passionate demeanor and fiery declarations, he accepted her insistent invitation to go to the East. He currently serves as the captain of the Scarlet Guard, and stands above its ranks as its most formidable fighter. whispers ❧ Well. He's talented, I suppose. I don't--What do you want me to say? *she seems a bit overly flustered* I think that he will prove to be a good asset to the clan and earn his keep. That's all there is to it. *she nods firmly as if decidedly putting an end to the conversation* trivia ❧ Formerly known as the "One-Eyed Crow," Silas is missing the trademark eye upon one of his wings. In its place is a large scar that runs all the way through. He's not exactly sure how it happened, but it's been there for as long as he could remember. Instead of flaring both of his wings out in battle, he only uncovers one to his enemy. He keeps the scarred one heavily under wraps, preferring not to reveal it. The attire in question was mostly chosen and put together by Sylph. He has a great weakness for cats and other particularly soft, fluffy and vulnerable looking animals. He secretly feeds the ones around the manor, but also has a tendency to adopt more than he can handle, resulting in others closer to him getting involved in re-homing. Silas was close friends with Katar and the two shared a brother-like bond. He was the only one who Katar felt he didn't have to entertain with airs and graces. Their time spent together often consisted of Katar doing the talking and Silas doing listening, but Silas didn't mind this and actually found it a little comforting. Katar had bailed him out many a time when Silas had been cornered by talkative individuals, and Silas returned the favor in the midst of battle as well as occasionally turning a blind eye to any rule-breaking. The have become increasingly distant with time, each buried beneath their respective duties.
