Children of the reality warper and the walking anti-magic tend to find that they have less of a physical form than most dragons. Some are walking concepts, some are more lightning storm than flesh and blood, and some simply do not exist altogether-- well, not in this realm, anyway.
There is, of course, the risk that with every ‘hatchling’ that emerges from the shell, the universe might rip itself apart. It’s a small chance, but there nonetheless, and besides, they may very well set the apocalypse into motion in their adulthood anyway. That is, if they survive that long. |

__Of all the families to grow up with, Berris had the pleasure of having had none at all. Their egg was stolen from the nest by a band of marauding raiders and subsequently sold to a fighting ring. Fortunately, neither the raiders nor the owners of the ring understood just what they had stolen and hatched. Berris grew up with zero knowledge of their parents or potential; most of their waking moments were spent fighting to survive. No spells, no magic. Just adrenaline rushing in their veins, blood on their teeth and claws, and a savage howl building in their throat. And they aren't too shabby, for a 'dragon' who doesn't know the half of what they truly are. Until one fateful match has them at the pointy end of a spear with a crowd screaming for blood, they still do not know. The spear comes down and they realise they're the one screaming-- Something crackles, white-hot and burning, in their veins, setting light to their nerves and pouring strength they never knew they possessed in limp claws. They've never been a favourite in the ring. All of that is about to change. | _____ |
