History Black Crow is based on Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto. It's a world of Shinobi, using Chakra to create powerful Ninjutsu and protecting their villages. The villages earn money by sending their Shinobi on missions. Some Shinobis are even able to use Kekkei-Genkais, special abilities that are inherited and cannot be learned by others. After three Shinobi World wars five countries became more powerful than the others: the Land of Earth the Land of Lightning the Land of Water the Land of Wind the Land of Fire Each of the main villages of these nations is led by a Kage, the most powerful position in the village. Although the times became mostly peaceful for most villages, a dark organization named Akatsuki rose and threatens the power relationship.

Amegakure is a small nation located between the five most powerful ones – due to it's location it had become the battleground for the five nations several times. During the war the leader of Amegakure, Hanzo, was challenged by a group called Akatsuki that seeked peace between the fighting nations. Hanzo felt threatened in his power and killed the leader of the group. This led to his best friend, Nagato, going berserk and leaving Akatuski's peaceful route. He strove to kill Hanzo and threw Amegakure in a Civil War. On Hanzo's side stood the powerful Amayaka-Clan, a clan blessed with a Kekkei-Genkai granting them the ability to manipulate bodies they touch. They are able to kill with one touch, speeding up healing processes or torture people without hurting them from the outside. When Akatsuki became more powerful, Hanzo used even the young and not fully trained Amayaka-Shinobi in the wars, finally ending in the downfall of the Clan. However, some Amayaka fled and Nagato did his best to track them down and kill them.

Haruka was born in a small village. Her parents fled from the war and worked as medic and fishermen in the small village. Although Haruka inherited the Amayaka Kekkei-Genkai, her parents taught her never to use it as they feared being identified and killed.
However an Amayaka spy of Akatsuki found them and her parents were killed before her eyes, resulting in Haruka snapping and killing the assassins. She was later found by Ren who took in children that lost their families during the war. She lived with them for some years before noticing that Ren sold the children. After killing the human traffickers she left disappointed.
She traveled to the Land of Wind and was found in the desert by Itachi and Kisame from Akatsuki. Being interested in her Kekkei-Genkai she was brought along to the new Akatsuki-organization.
Nagato, now calling himself Pain, was having doubts about keeping her alive, but finally decided to use her help to make the organization rise with power.
Haruka was instructed to find an immortal man that they heard about and recruit him. During her search for him she met Jiraiya and Naruto, two Shinobi from Konoha on a training mission. She became friends with Naruto as they shared a part of their way and she was able to take her time to deal with her own past.
After returning successfully to Akatsuki, she was often accompanying Kisame and Itachi as support and fell in love with Itachi. Their relationship did not change Itachi's focus of helping his younger brother however and he died in the process.
With Kisame's help Haruka left Akatsuki behind and started a new life far away in a small village. She gave birth to twins and worked as a medic for the villagers.
