Biography

I looked at myself in the mirror, armor on and chest puffed out. It was crazy to think about how far I have come. Ever since I was a hatchling I always wanted to protect a member of the royal family. Who knew the crazy way I would get my chance. I still remember the moment like it was yesterday. It was a cool day for a clan that lived in a place that always seemed to be touched by the sun. It was a special day however, the King and Queen were going to be flying through the town and talking to some of the people. I couldn’t wait, today was the day that I would try to find a way to join the guard. Little did I know how soon my dream would be coming true.

I rushed through the crowd pushing myself to the front at the sight of the gates to the palace opening. I felt excitement and nerves course through my veins as I caught sight of the first guards. There were two walking in front of the king and queen, two behind them, and one next to each of them. We were a peaceful clan and most of the members of the clan preferred to use smarts over violence. There where a few clans that we did have problems with from time to time but there wouldn't be a way for them to get assassins into the city. It was heavily guarded and you had to have a lot of paperwork and entry scrolls to get through. But none of that was important because today was finally the day that he would be able to talk to the King and Queen themselves. I followed off to the side as the King and Queen made there way down the town road. They finally stopped at the small stage that had been set up for today. There were two thrones which the pair quickly sat upon. Their guards filed into the same position in front of the. Everybody let out a cheer of joy and I had to push dragons back to keep my spot in front.

One moment everyone was cheering the next the two guards in front had turned to face the King and Queen with their swords out. I remember thinking in shock, this is impossible, how could two traitorous dragons manage to make there way into the Kingsguard. Suddenly the whole town square went sightlent as everybody looked around in fear. I didn't even hesitate. I slowly crept through the crowd until I was right below the stage. With a push of my wings I shot into the air and shoved one of the dragons holding a sword to the Kings neck. It went clattering to the ground and I quickly reached for it.

The other dragon was distracted by my show long enough for the other loyal members of the guard to grab him. I held down the male I had originally tackled until someone could come and tie him up. Once the two traitors were taken away did I turn to face the King and Queen. I quickly went into a bow nerves quickly taking over him.

He heard the King gruffly tell him to rise, which I quickly did. I looked at the roylies with excitement in my eyes. “You have done saved my mate and I’s life. How could I ever repay you?” He asked grabbing onto the Queens had. My chest puffed out in pride at his words. I quickly answered “If it’s not too much to ask I have always dreamed of being a Kingsguard and it would be an honor to protect you my king.” After that day, my dream came true and I took the oath to guard the king till my last breath, which I would happily do.
