B I O G R A P H Y
I still remember the first time I truly fought for my clan. It was a warm day, like usual in the light clan. I

I was on kingsguard duty, which meant I had to follow around the King in case anyone tried to attack him. I was so young at the time, I maybe had been a guard for a month or two. I was still so nervous and I really just wanted a chance to prove myself to the others. Who knew that that day would change everything for me. The king had decided he wanted to go for a walk through the gardens, so I would go with him. We were a fairly large but peaceful clan so we didn't worry about safety too much. That's why it was just the king and I. I followed him at a safe distance, leaving about five paces of space between use. I was alert as always. I made sure to scan the areas for any signs of threat. I was looking left, right, ahead of his, behind us, everything. But their was one place I forgot to check, which was up.
Suddenly I hear the soft beats of wings slowly getting closer and closer. My eyes went wide and my wings spread without a second thought. “Get to safety!” I yell at the king as I turned to face three armed dragons. Two where Imperials, while the other was a Windclaw. I looked down to see the king frozen in fear, I growled at the dragons making sure I stayed between them and the King. No one was around and it would seem the King was going to be no help. “Give us the King and no one has to get hurt.” I remember the middle Imperial saying. I looked at the other Imperial to his right and the Windclaw to his left.

I snarled out a no and flung myself at the middle Imperial. Some say that maybe I was stupid for rushing into an attack, but I saw an opportunity and I took it. The dragons were caught by surprise giving me enough time to knock what seemed to be the leader before I whipped around to face the Windclaw.
By this point he was ready and came charging at me. We fought in the air for a few minutes the only sound that could be heard was the clinging of our swords. The other Imperial was trying to wake up their leader, lucky for me because it would have been very difficult to fight off two dragons. Finally I was able to finish off the Windclaw. I swooped down and landed on the other Imperial pinning him to the ground. By this point some guards had noticed what was going on and flew over. They helped me tie up the two prisoner and dispose of the Windclaw.
I remember going over to the King afterwards to make sure he was okay. That was when everything changed, he said to me “Thank you, brave dragon. From this day forth you shall be my personal guard. You will follow me everywhere I go and will be paid handsomely.” I remember the shock and honor I felt rush through my veins at his words. After that day I protected the king for everyday and I will continue to do so until my last day.
