To make up for her diluted magic, Wynonna has fallen back on using magical and mechanical items to enhance her fighting skills. She is the Chief Gunner of the Exaudi and is the galleon's first line of defense against oceangoing or aerial threats. Her ammunition she brews with help from the clan's alchemist, though she can also whip up some explosive mixtures in a pinch on her own.

Wise pirates steer clear of the Exaudi, for Wynonna's weapons cause great damage and even more grievous injuries. She is not a dragoness to whom mercy easily comes. Despite this, strangely enough (or perhaps not), she is mated to the ship's physician, whom she is fiercely protective of.
