Dragon Log

An extraordinary addition to the Clan, he arrived as a Plague Egg, delivered by a friendly dragon from the Teeka Clan. The Clan eagerly gathered around the Egg, waiting to see it hatch. It did so within an hour of its arrival, releasing a handsome Fae Male into the world. Moments after he was born, however, the Fae began to glow a strange Icy white, his whole body pulsating with magical energy. The Clan would have been alarmed--and perhaps they should have been--but similar magic had been witnessed in the Clan before, and never done any harm. And no harmful magic could get through the Lair’s quite extensive shields, anyway. So the Clan simply watched, curious to see what Changes this young Fae would be undergoing. It came as a complete shock to everyone when the glow faded…and an entirely new Breed of dragon was revealed, complete with Unusual Eyes! The Clan is still reeling from the shock, even as they comfort and welcome their newest addition. It seems that the odd magical phenomenon that has recently been sweeping the caves can make physical changes as well as visual ones….

6-8-19: Despite his rocky beginnings, this young Ancient is adjusting well to his Clan. He already has a familiar companion, as the Regenerating Reedjumper that arrived with his egg was more than happy to bond with him even before the magic changed his form…and even more eager afterwards. He also appears to have a budding interest in time fluctuations, and an absolute fascination with Ruth, and his comments about Time Travel, prompting many in the Clan to wonder if this new addition will be attempting to manipulate temporal energies as he grows older…

...and in the meantime, the magical phenomenon that changed his breed has struck again, providing him a female companion who was born from a previously dormant Ice Egg only seconds after he himself was Changed. The Clan is beginning to wonder--and worry--what else this strange magical surge will do...

6-14-19: Five days after their birth, the two young dragons of this new breed grew into healthy--and extremely large--adults, and promptly left the Nursery. They were not done surprising the Clan, however, as they did not make any attempt to move into the Main Cave, but rather headed to the very back of the lair, and, using a combination of magic and their own claws, carved out a whole new section where they promptly settled. And the section is question is extremely odd. While it was being carved, the other dragons could see that it appeared to be a series of interconnecting caves, much like the Magical Phenomena Cave Circle. But the whole thing began to shimmer with strange magic seconds after the main area of the section was complete, and since then, all attempts by various dragons to get through the "door" into the new cave circle have failed utterly. In fact, some dragons can't even find the entrance!

The two Gaolers seem determined to keep to themselves, and the only hint as to what they may be doing in this new section appears to be in their names, which are both taken from scrolls found in the Library that Ruth read to them when they were hatchlings--and in the name they have give their "home": Temporal Research and Time Watch. It seems that Ruth's passed-on fascination with Time Travel may have combined with these dragons natural instinct to guard and protect in a very unusual way....

6-16-19: Barely two days after Gallifrey and Tardisa moved to their new homes in the Time Caves Circle, another young Gaoler has appeared, wandering up to the caves, completely alone, from an unknown location. As a result, Gallifrey has had the new Cave Circle to himself for a while now, as Tardisa seems absolutely fascinated by the newest arrival…

6-20-19: There has been an unexpected development in the Time Caves Circle: The green "Tardisa" has cast a very special spell, changing all records, and all weak-minded dragon's memories, to reflect that her name is, in fact, "Romana," and another Gaoler entirely has the name "Tardisa." Apparently, the newest arrival to the Clan had fascinated Gallifrey's green companion even more than he initially thought...

9-6-19: "Doctor" has Awakened! Gallifrey is quite relieved. He was beginning to wonder if his friend wasn't developing correctly. A simple shift in time like this should not have been such an effort, after all. It seems, however, that "Doctor" was simply indulging himself, trying out what it felt like to live in the main timestream for once. Hopefully, mow that he has tried the long way, he will be happier to use the shortcuts from now on....
