Dragon Log

She was an unexpected addition to the Clan, arriving as a shivering bundle of blue fur late one night. The Clan took immediate pity on the crying, completely lost hatchling, and bundled her into the Healer’s cave almost at once. Once it was determined that her shivering was only from the cold, and she was, in fact, remarkably healthy—if a bit hungry—she was guided to the Nursery, where, after a nice meal of plants, and a happy tussel with a number of the familiars nearby, she settled down for a nap, a much happier dragon…

6-16-19: While the young one is sleeping, two very different creatures have taken an intense interest in her, for two entirely different reasons. The Clan’s Glitterfreeze Amabassador has been keeping to himself, apparently unimpressed by all the available Ice Dragons. This young one, however, appears to have struck a chord inside the somewhat aloof Longneck, as he has drifted closer and closer to her while she sleeps, and has now positioned himself where she will almost certainly notice him as soon as she wakes…and while he has been investigating her as a potential companion, Tardisa, the green Gaoler female, has apparently been investigating the young Ice Dragon as a potential family member, and has even expressed the thought that perhaps she should change her name, and pass on the one she currently has to this new Gaoler, who is apparently far more “suitable” a candidate for it…

6-20-19: The young one has grown quickly, and is ready to take her place in the Clan....or at least in the Temporal Research Cave Circle, which she just moved into a few minutes ago. Upon her arrival, she (and her Longneck companion, who refuses to leave her side) were greeted by the Green Gaoler Tardisa...who promptly announced that her own name would be "Romana" from now on, and that the young one should be named "Tardisa" instead. The blue Gaoler does not in the least object to this spontaneous Christening, and in fact seems to be enjoying her name immensely...

9-14-19: Tardisa's first familiar, the Glitterfreeze Ambassador, has Awakened! Tardisa is extremely pleased with her friend, who has begun to join her in her experiments with time. The reason these two were attracted to each other is now apparent, as the creature seems to have an instinctive knowledge of not only where he is, but when, making him an excellent companion for a dragon that sometimes find herself needing to find her way back home through time...

4-11-20: Tardisa has found her second familiar: A Swift Volt, Wary of the Clan, but willing to give them another try, wandered into the Time Caves, and found his way over to where Tardisa was working on some research. The little one’s furry body attracted the friendly Gaoler, who reached out absently to stroke his fur…and got quite a shock. Oddly, this has only made Tardisa more interested in the creature, who she has decided to name “Core.” Core, in turn, seems equally fascinated by a dragon that isn’t upset at his tendency to cause pain to anyone who touches him…

7-7-20: Core has Awakened! Tardisa is thrilled for her friend. For his own part, Core seems content to spend his time curled up by Tardisa's side, watching her work, and using the now much increased static on his body to power her experiments. In fact, the only thing his Awakening seems to have changed is how much electricity he gives off at any given time: It is now exponentially more powerful than it was when he first arrived. For some reason, not all the Gaolers seem as pleased about this as Tardisa is. Perhaps she should not have encouraged Core to make friends with Romana's Chocolate Ferret? Still, the ferret's fur is already growing back, so there's really no reason for Romana to continue to be so annoyed...
