Vhalzaar
THIS DRAGON IS AN OC

One of the first new world dragons to hatch
His egg was buried for centuries under the village where Sorleyn was born.
The dragon egg, buried and forgotten, but alive, hatched as soon as his rider touched it, stablishing the dragon-rider connection.
His name "Vhalzaar" means "Moon devourer" in the old Arcane Elven language.
As a dragon, his voice can only be heard by his rider and the former dragon riders.

A pitch black dragon with reddish colored wings and light icy blue eyes.
His species age slower than other dragon and live longer, at almost 300 years of age, Vhalzaar stills a teenager.
This species can't breathe fire, but have really sharp hind claws, they will either sky dive into their prey or attack by backslamming using the sharp scales on their backs as striking weapon.
They can also use the scales on their backs for communication between the ones of their kind by rattling them.

Both Vhalzaar and Venihara, the only two dragons of this species that hatched by now, they're cunning and rebellious and won't easily accept orders from anyone, their riders included. If this is actually a species trait would require more information.
