"Pay attention, Elaine." The young Skydancer snapped back into focus at the words of her mentor. Lume folded his arms and shook his head. His apprentice had promise in her abilities to read prophecies, but she could be rather absent-minded, getting easily distracted by small things.
"Sorry, Lume..." Elaine apologized, slumping back down into her chair.
"I know that staying focused isn't your strong suit, but I won't bore you for much longer. Try to pay attention until I'm done teaching," Lume said sternly. His apprentice nodded in acknowledgement. The wildclaw resumed his lesson, making sure he maintained Elaine's attention.

"Lume?" The Wildclaw turned his attention down to Elaine as the two of them walked the corridor back to their room.
"Yes?"
"Um... were you nervous or scared when you started as a new Enlightener?" the skydancer's wide eyes looked young and uncertain in the light of the sun streaming through the windows of the clan's lair. Lume thought for a moment, recalling the days of being Lute's apprentice.
"I little," he responded. "Is there something you're nervous about doing?" the wildclaw continued. Elaine averted her gaze for a moment.
"Well... I'm just a little worried. What if I receive a vision I can't interpret?" she asked, looking down at her feet bashfully. Lume just gave her a warm smile, patting her gently on the back.
"Do not fret, I have told you this before. In time, meaning shall come to all prophecies. I'm sure you'll learn to figure out all of them," he advised. Elaine looked a little assured, but she still seemed distraught.
"I hope so..." she whispered.
