Aldilu

Aldilu looked at the shadow floating in front of him. He had just summoned the shadow to bring him unimaginable power, as he was tired of being powerless. He stared at the shadow, waiting for it to make a move.

The shadow stared back at Aldilu, looking to see if he was a threat or not. Eventually, it spoke to Aldilu telepathically. "What is it you desire?" It asked.

"I-I want to be powerful. Can y-you provide it?" Aldilu stuttered.

The shadow lowered its guard, as it no longer saw Aldilu as a threat. "That I can provide. Of course, I will be bound to you after I lend a hand. Is that okay?"

Aldilu nodded. He was okay with the shadow following him everywhere. He just hoped he could hide it from the clan. Aldilu shook the shadow's hand, causing the shadow to float over him, following him anywhere he went.

The first few weeks went fine, Aldilu was stronger than he'd ever been and was able to help the clan more than usual. The shadow seemed to be visible to Aldilu alone, as nobody questioned him. Even his own parents seemed proud of him.

Every night, the shadow talked to Aldilu. Asking him about his hobbies, personality and relationships. Aldilu always answered its questions honestly, as he wanted to befriend the shadow. However, the feeling didn't seem mutual, as any questions Aldilu asked, the shadow ignored.

After two months, the shadow decided it was done with Aldilu. It allowed him to use its powers to help the clan, but now it was the shadow's turn to use its own powers. It overtook Aldilu's body, causing his eyes to turn pure white. It dressed in black, to symbolize its old form.

Dragons began to notice Aldilu's personality change, but when they asked, the shadow brushed the question aside. Telling them that he was hiding his true nature. The shadow began imitating Aldilu, showing hatred towards those Aldilu said he didn't like, and didn't bother those Aldilu said he liked. The shadow is in control of Aldilu, and he will never be the same again.

Aldilu's spirit remains in the spirit realm. Surrounded by trees with pink leaves, and voices echoing throughout. He discovered a coal Fae in the forest, and befriended him. Both dragons look for a way to reclaim what was once theirs. However, neither know if it's even possible to leave the forest.
