Her earliest memory is that of a shooting star forcing its way through the night sky and leaving a trail of glitter behind so she could trace it with wavering hands. Her first word was sky. The second? Fly. She wanted to fly, like a bird, and soar among the stars that had formed her childhood. Thankfully, her parents encouraged her dreams.

Decima graduated with a degree in advanced mathematics and theoretical astrophysics. Because of all her time spent with her eyes to the sky, she became incredibly adept at predicting movement of spatial objects, which allowed her to become a pilot for the Sornieth Space Administration. She is currently the youngest pilot to achieve the rank of lieutenant.

Unfortunately, her fixation on space left her lacking in other areas. Decima never bothered to learn other languages, including Standard. She relies heavily on universal translators, and is easily frustrated when they fail.
