Malachite

A roguish dragon who saves travelers from icy crevices, rockfall and avalanches. Boisterous and charismatic. Hangs out with his buddy Constant when he's not away on a rescue. Lost one of his limbs when he first came to the Southern Icefield and had gone out into the tundra without a guide. He lost his way and was found nearly frozen to death by a local longneck party. Malachite managed to recover but one of his arms was so damaged by frostbite it had to be removed.

The snapper acquired a prosthetic arm at the Outpost, where he struck a deal with an old Lightning mechanic named Pale. Pale forged a new arm for him in exchange for supplies, which Malachite acquired from Serra and Elias. He spent the following weeks helping Serra out in her bar and working Elias' market stall, but Pale forged him an excellent replacement arm.
Malachite was pretty shaken up by the whole experience and got into arctic exploration and rescuing as a result. He trained under a few different local dragons and learned all about the dangers of the Icefield from them.

Constant was an old childhood friend of Malachite's who decided to visit him one day. When the snapper had told the fae all about his adventures since his arrival, Constant became smitten with the idea of being a rescuer as well and joined his friend in his cause.
