I am the Hunter of the Night. I am the claws that rend flesh from bone, the teeth that bite into its prey, dark with still-warm blood. Do not become my enemy, for I will hunt you down before you can cry your deity’s name.

Boreas is the Mori Clan’s hunter, both of food – and enemies. He is a very swift runner, able to keep up with his mate, Merlin, on the ground. His dull coloring allows him to blend in with his gloomy surroundings, and he is able to sneak closer to unsuspecting prey than most.

Born in the Hewn City to a small pack of Mirrors, Boreas eschewed his pack’s distrust of other breeds while wholeheartedly retaining their love of the hunt. He was one of the first members of the Mori Clan, with only Cassata and Merlin before him.

Boreas and Merlin are a pair to be feared. From their very first meeting, they were equals in rivalry. That rivalry soon turned to comradery, and they only grew closer from there. Merlin is the only dragon Boreas truly trusts, and the feeling is mutual.


Candles in the evening on the snowfields of the fallen; all ye frozen fools who fled, look upon the beast’s maw and despair. When you stood at the prow of the ship and looked into the whirlpool, did you give yourself up then for dead? You, who have grown fearless, for already your soul lays still? The miles stretch before you, the doves ready to fly, ready for the taking - and how you breathe in the silence of the night, an hourglass at your breast, unholy halo reflected in your eyes. Your wolves are crying for the hunt; the time is near to take back what was left behind: the bone, the mind, and one thing more.
