Description: The glass is so thin that most would be afraid to touch it; a fact aided by its gorgeous, marbled appearance. But Marquise's gentle claws run down its sides with an unmatched, unnatural sort of grace and care. Perhaps as much could be expected from any artisan inspecting their handiwork. Marquise, in all his pride, would beg to differ. This glass isn't to sell. Typically these chimneys go off to 'specialists'- priests, mediums, circus hacks. It doesn't make much of a difference when they're all doing the same thing; taking credit for the Imperial's hard work and magic. Though it all makes Marquise smile more than anything- the fools don't have a clue what they're dealing with. They can't tell illusions from energies, tricks of the light from will o' the wisps. If they want to scam their followers, their audiences, then Marquise will scam them right back. More money towards their magnum opus is more money, even if it's passed through dirtied hands. And so Marquise just admires the glass chimney, checking for flaws and ensuring that it feels cold in his palm. His gaze stays transfixed on the glass as he enters his dark bedroom. A small prayer escapes his jaws as he unscrews the plain glass chimney from the kerosene lamp set in the dead center of the room, and replace it with his creation. Even in the darkness, there's an odd sort of refractal glow to the glass, shifting as if occasionally obstructed. Reassured, Marquise places his claws on the lamp's knob and feels an odd sort of chill go up his spine; and when the chill runs over his shoulder, he softly grins. The lamp roars to life, and the Imperial gently adjusts it until the whole room is illuminated, the glow of the glass' patterns slowly spinning with the uniform shifting of the flame. Marquise walks to his bed, curling up and watching the lamp with his head up as his tail contently flicks back and forth. Slowly, a figure seems to walk towards the lamp. First obscured in darkness, their silhouette slowly forms, until the dragon within stands before the lamp, her own claws investigating the glass. Her eyes (shimmering and wide) look to the resting Imperial, and an echo escapes from her incorporeal throat. "You've made me such a pretty gift, Marquise." Despite the way the vision is chilling Marquise to the bone and choking tears out of him, he can't help but hold his head up proudly and keep that same, dumb smile on his face. "I'm... I'm glad you like it, darling." He chuckles as his voice wavers, especially as the spectre starts to laugh herself. "I think we've got a lot of catching up to do."
