kartikeya wanted to be beautiful. she aspired to be as beautiful as her regal parents. she'd dress up in silks and gems and occasionally dye her wings a deeper red by using clay. it became an obsession of hers, and between her training, she'd find ways to improve her beauty. thus, her obsession became her weakness when she left on her own. although strong, kartikeya did not last long on her own. her distraction allowed fiends to sneak up behind her. the fight for survival was fierce, but in the end she laid in defeat. her story would end there, no longer alive, and no longer beautiful

but aalihte had been watching everything. having been on one of his hunts, he caught scent of her. the scent was familiar, and so when he approached, he saw the fight before his very eyes. normally, he'd collect the angry spirit and leave, but this time he decided something different. he recognized her as one of his own, and thought that even though he loved the quiet, mayhap some company wouldnt be awful. he re-attached her spirit to her body using the plaguebringer's blessing, and took her in. although mostly a husk, her desire for beauty and gems still persisted.
