The beautiful coral that grows interrupted within the Sea of a Thousand Currents has recently become greatly endangered with the combination of the Tidelord's disappearance and the sudden changes in weather.

With constant threats looming above and below, some of the more resilient branches have, with the aid of sporadic pockets of magic, become sentient. When not focused on spreading and repopulating their treasured home, they'll do whatever they must to keep it safe.


Contrary to their brilliant-colored hides, those that live in the Fishspine Coral are excellent with sneak attacks, as many intruders don't notice their initial approach.

Fael are especially difficult to evade after they catch onto their prey's heat, or magic, signature, as they're naturally excellent with scouting and tracking, especially in packs.

When their prey's cornered, one of the Fael will attempt to stab them with the end of their tail, which's barbed and coated with a strong paralyzing agent. If successful, they'll drag their prey back to the Coral to deal with them as a whole.

Fael nest close to Chio, and, despite strictly nesting in Water, their hatchlings are mysteriously born with eyes of Ice, Shadow, or Wind.
