______ "Why do I have to watch them?" She wined loudly to the large skydancer before her, his black feathers ruffling in the toxic breeze.

______"Your siblings have ventured out to serve the Plaguebringer, you know this, Lucid. Not to mention you are by far the strongest of my offspring," the Skydancer, her father, spoke smoothly. He let out an exhasperated sigh at her complaining.

______Lucid grumbled, hesitantly nodding before pacing away at a sluggish pace to where the Condemned were housed.

______ She wove herself through the crowd, the busy streets thinning out as she approached the shunned corner of their territory, arriving much too soon for her own tastes. Her steps towards the Condemned were halted when a voice slithered out of the shadows, belonging to an oozing Coatl.

______"Now what have we here?" His voice dripped like the ooze covering his see-through body, a low rumbling escaping his throat as laughter.

______ Lucid cleared her throat before addressing the dragon, "I am Lucid, Vampire's daughter. He bid me keep an eye on you.. lesser members of our society," she let out a disgusted grunt, she knew this Coatl would not harm her...would he? He would not, not with her status as Vampire's daughter, surely.

______"Those scars on your spine...such a pretty shade of red," the Coatl spat in her direction, inching closer with his fangs bared, she took a cautious step back.

______"Mors, leave her be, we wouldn't want to cause conflict with the clan...yet," a Skydancer paced by, resting his tail on the Coatl's shoulder gently and leading him back into the shadowy corners.

______ "Perhaps next time we meet, Cadere won't be quite so nearby, little red," the Coatl, Mors by the sound of it, laughed at her as they withdrew from the scene.

"Do not mind him, his mind is..." a new voice spoke up, coming from a second Skydancer. The Skydancer did not finish his thought, giving a concerned, yet tired, look in the direction Mors and Cadere went before shaking his head.

"I don't mind him, he can't lay a talon on me," she snapped at the Skydancer, puffing herself up, trying to shake off the unease the Coatl had left instilled in her.

"Uh-huh," the Skydancer lifted an eyebrow at her, looking unconvinced, yet too lazy to try and press her further.

"I demand your name," she stood as tall as she was able, still dwarfed in comparison to the large Skydancer before her, attempting to hold his gaze best she could.

The Skydancer spread his wings, casting a shadow down on her, in which his gaze seemed ever more enchanting to her. He grinned, winking at her, "Mollis Mediae, my Lady."

She jumped at how he referred to her, a flirty tone to his voice. She looked at him bewildered, unable to meet his gaze she glanced at the ground, "I-I'm here to watch you all, so- so don't do anything evil!"

Her outburst amused the Skydancer, making her even more frustrated and embarrassed, she quickly turned tail and ran back up to the populated streets, seeking to put as much distance between her and the flirtatious Skydancer as she could.
