3479.png 		Jaros traverses Sornieth with his partner in crime and on-and-off mate Talika in the search for gullible clans which need help moving valuables. Petty thefts and heists aren't good enough for him--the real thrill comes from watching his carefully preened targets walk straight into the waiting snare and willingly giving him and Talika what they want. The careful foundation work, putting everything into motion, watching it unfurl, saving it when it looks like it'll go to hell; it is all as satisfying as--if not more than--the actual payoff.

Talika is quite possibly the best partner he could ask for, playing off him so well he sometimes feels inclined to believe they're one mind. If a life of crime didn't appeal so much to them, they would make excellent actors--not only is their dynamic incredible, they smoothly slip into a vast array of roles. Their mannerisms, their voice, their stance change at the flick of a claw; they are the starstruck lovers who need a place to settle, the bumbling youth with a diamond made of glass and the goldsmith proclaiming it to be as real as anything and worth a fortune, the shaman and the miraculously cured patient, whatever their cons demand at the time. All the world's a stage, indeed, and the pay is far better than any actor's.
