This dragon has a natural sense of morality and chivalry. Earnest and helpful, he fantasizes over being a knight who protects others from harm. Granted, he has a deformed hind leg, so he doubts he would ever be able to actually be a knight. Instead, he has turned his sights on acting. If he can convince a clutch of hatchlings that he is actually Sir Humphrey, then that is enough for him. He adores younglings, and he hopes to have a few of his own some day. Once he was old enough, he took up the name Gallant and left home, seeking to make his living as a traveling storyteller. For a time, it was rough: profit didn't interest him as much as telling a good tale. If there were days where he would struggle, then so be it. Unfortunately, few saw little use for his storytelling, especially when there was much work to be done. More often than not, he was turned away. With no money, goods or even a practical skill, why would one allow him lodging? But Gallant remained determined. (WIP - need to figure out how this changes. Who/why would he be turned away to begin with; who finally hears him out? Or do they hear him in passing and become captivated? Person convinced to bring them) - used experiences to help create stories - eventually reaches a nice place OR someone weary enough to listen to tales - maybe comes across poor little town - it was the hope they needed? - eventually built fanbase out of that and traveled once more |
