This cosmic being has been corrupted by The Shade and now roams the galaxy looking to destroy everything that crosses its path.

This is mostly gibberish! Read if you want, but it consist primarily of notes I made so I don't forget good lore ideas. :)

Whether it was a dragon that flied and explored too far up in the atmosphere, an alien or something else entirely, no one knows. It is vicious and eek The Shade's corrupted magical energy.

note to self: arrived from space, aliens come crashing down in the starfall isles. she's a lone fighter, fearless and fierce, brutal, savage, lone fodder exalter with crystal build. kills everyone and destroy anything in her way. maybe her exaltees are shade possessed dragons she's captured and making part of her army. yeahhh... !!!

nature Yggdrasil legend to plague corrupted. changed by the shade, unnaturally shift elements corrupts the mind of a dragon, since they're inherently linked to the deities and their respective powers. gladekeeper refuses to tell if he was an former very near and elite acolyte of hers

the shade uses one of the plaguebringer's virus strains to infect yggdrasil, thus trying to wreak havoc among dragons. cause why would the plaguebringer let her diseases cross borders? the shade is waiting for the deities to declare vicious war against each other. the plaguebringer doesn't respond as to why she ''let this happen'' (she doesn't know after all), so plaguebringer plays it cool dieseases rulez! yadda yadda typical plague stuff, but internally she sets her most loyal, competent and bravest followers to investigate the situation. is someone trying to sabotage them from within? the plaguebringer ponders... (only a slight worry that one of hers virus strains might hava become too powerful and predictable even for her to control).

windsinger, when visiting arcanist brings with him his acolytes, one of his most scholarly and proactive ones started house dreamstrider many, many, many!!! years ago

keykeeper sighs at others flight's view of arcane, specially because of /some/ dragons fault, looks at other houses' most reckless dragons (he operates security warps, he's the keyword holder, basically)... especially unknown, too? I suppose he ended up appointed as a highly regarded wizard, once they decided to listen to him, which in the past other dragons didn't

they do not understand what machinations and work happens in the observatory

failed experiment/attempts to save the world from the forthcoming and sorta ongoing shade comeback is somewhat dismissed as simple arcane-y scatterbrainedness

truth is that it's all very calculated, all exaltés and high scholars that are in the observatory work tirelessly to subdue the alien invasion alongside the arcanist, who almost never rests

portals and warping of the fabric of spatial space means dragons of all sizes fit in the observatory, being roughly the same size as all the others, including the arcanist.

from one room to the other, some rooms and dragons seem enormous, which changes as soon as you pass through the door warps

dreamstrider wind dragon or together with some arcane dragon or only an arcane dragon found one of Tidecaller's prophecy bubbles... in the form of a dream a glimpse of the future unreeled before him

warps not properly may cause amputaions and or death

wears key necklace with digital master keywords /and/ magically enchanted + inscribed passwords

give star skin to keykeeper?

or!!! make clan engineer the first one saved by the two moon aliens, maybe give them light eyes (in their dragom-form, in reality they have other eye colours)?. They bestow him with the gift of being able to travel through space without spacesuits, thus transforming his body into the starry space sky he is now. make that a subspecies. attempt to scatter keykeepr into subspecies or at least an off-model variant, since he's very near the engineer and important in lore. (?) they pain his face with markings... and they magically spread, painting themselves on the rest of his body, making him one of the first moon ''settlers''.

give engineer custom skin that vaguely looks like current skin combined with skink gene, yeah! (kinda reminiscent of a star chart constellation, maybe even with the aliens symbol engraved and or arcane's as a gift, a walking, living, breathing constellation, quasi-ethereal!)

aurumarcanitas is the clan's merchant? takes care of finances and the vault... maybe.

entering a portal, resizing portal, can make a non-arcane dragon basically bsod, unless they're good at arcane magic. at first they might feel the same, but their perception of reality gets hazy. whyis a tiny fae as big as a guardian, even though neither the fae nor guardian have shrunken?
