P E R S O N A L I T Y
Calcaneus is extremely devoted to the Plaguebringer. Almost obsessively so. He grew up in the wastes of the Abiding Boneyard under priests of the Plaguebringer, and hoped to become a Necromancer. After the trials that made him a Necroservus instead, he was tested greatly in his devotion, nonetheless coming out unscathed thanks to Matasuintha. He believes all this was fate, to test his devotion to Her.

B I O G R A P H Y

Born in the ever shifting expanse of the Abiding Boneyard, Calcaneus was always taught by those around him of the miracles of the Plaguebringer and the change they bring. As a result, he grew up to be an incredibly devoted follower of her. His ability to divinate through bones also proved to be very helpful, and was the first sign that he should become a Necromancer.

After his trials, he unfortunately became a Necroservus instead, and the resulting days after were the greatest test of his devotion to the deity he believed in for so long. Was he not devoted enough to become a true Necromancer? Was it fate? Is this a test? All these questions constantly raced through his mind, until he met Matasuintha, who's natural ability to put the minds of those around her at ease helped him return to devotion. He became the Gaoler's Necroservus after this.

Now he currently serves as a respected Shaman among the Cleanrotten's necromancers, assisting in seeing the future and the tides of what is to come. For in his eyes, Her will is supreme, and Her will may flow through him and all others.

Represented by Crown of Bones, Skeletal Chimes, Birdskulls, etc: A symbol of death, truth, enlightenment, austerity, and divination. Necromancers bearing bones often serve as shamans to their clans. They foretell the tides of dominance, dates of future plague outbreaks, and can interpret the will of the Plaguebringer through signs and omens.
