Arctodus; the Bear. A wayward, overconfident seeker who lost his way in The Scarred Wasteland on an assignment, he was ripe for The Plaguebringer’s experimentation. His fur is tangled with parasites and material from The Wandering Contagion has started to work its noxious effects on him. A conscripted Graveyard Gaoler, he specializes in rotting and breaking down the remains of the dead to the point they are unusable to necromancers and others who would seek to blaspheme the dead. Most of his former boyish charm and spunk is lost, however, he will occasionally burst into play behavior or sit on his hind legs and contemplate the scenery. His new eyes aid in this and watching for intruders.

As everyone knows, The Plaguebringer despises the undead, seeing them as failures. Naturally, millions of dragons in the Plague Flight perform necromancy anyway. She wanted to create her own species of Gaolers reminiscent of the Graveyard Guardian bear, to keep intruders and baby necromancers out of the charnel pits and away from the plagueling cardinal sin of necromancy.

Arctodus can be extremely lazy and is a creature of comfort, "soft" for a Gaoler, and can often be found resting on the job. However, make no mistake, he can spring into motion to protect his graveyard, and is terrifying in action.

Pities Gwaedlif, and is very kind to her. He knows what it is to be turned into a monster.
