Whether Ewan is actually a real dragon or just a figment of Stardew's mind remains unclear to him. But whenever the wildclaw asks, he'd say that Ewan is real to himself, and that's all that matters! He's only ever seen alongside Stardew throughout his flight across Sornieth, pestering and mocking the fallen king for his horrible deeds. As much as the wildclaw tries, Ewan is a persistent one, and it seems that he will be by his side for all eternity.

The skydancer is quite upbeat and has a personality that Stardew would describe as loud. He gets excited over the littlest of things and always makes sure to scream in Stardew's ear about it. From how Stardew may explain it, one may think that he's simply trying to cheer the wildclaw up from his eternal punishment, but the way the skydancer grins at him and laughs whenever he snaps tells a different story. Stardew has asked him if he thinks he's some kind of hero for bugging him for so long, but Ewan denies it. He sees himself as rather an anti-hero. Ewan claims to be the beloved ruler of a distant kingdom somewhere in the clouds, though whenever Stardew asks if they can visit, he'd always decline. "Don't you have plants to tend to, waterboy?" He'd respond back, letting out a bark of a laugh that was hell to the wildclaw's ears. The skydancer just loves talking about how much of a better king he is, how much his citizens love him, how he would never mistreat them, and how he would definitely not get overthrown by two little hatchlings. Oh, he always loves bringing that one up. Gets him every time. |

| In truth, Ewan was supposed to be a gift for the king. He and his brother Cuttle were gifted in that they could connect to a dream-like realm and establish a connection with a being from the other side, serving as their companion as they help build their kingdom. However, by the time Stardew had made this connection, Ewan was dismayed to find that the wildclaw had abused his powers as ruler. Now, instead of helping him out of his curse, the skydancer relishes in it, moderating and ensuring that Stardew remains in the exact same condition that he deserves to be in. |
