Haunt

Haunt sells strange gooey potions and enchanted amulets out of his lair but otherwise keeps to himself. He's made his home in an old mausoleum that had been sitting vacant on the edge of town since Spectre was built. Other dragons left it alone because of the ghostly sightings and strange noises from within, but to Haunt these things just add to the ambiance.
Haunt is a capable adventurer who goes out into the forest at night. He searches the Tangled Forest's many old ruins for lost magical items and other relics. He serves as something of a vigilante as well as he'll occasionally run into dragons or beastclan in need, who he's happy to help.

Has become good friends with Siobhan, a witch who loves Haunts mausoleum and likes to visit to discuss potions and charms over tea. Haunt has also started a relationship with the silent ice sorcerer Gulo, a new arrival in town who immediately caught his interest.

Charming and effluent. Loves old fashioned clothing and furniture. Plays up his politeness and comes across as quite extra, but is actually quite grounded. Conscious over his vampiric nature and would rather the other dragons of Spectre City think he's a fop than fear him.

Has to consume the blood of other dragons to stay healthy. This is the result of his clan of origin's past doings. That clan experimented with flesh and blood in an effort to bolster their members' resistance against aging and decay. The experiments yielded disastrous results when the clan members began to grow ill and feverish when their immune systems turned against their own tissue. The results differed depending on the dragon, but one by one the succombed to the effects. Neighbouring clans caught wind and deemed the clan cursed by the Plaguebringer as a result of forbidden practices. Haunt was one of the last dragons born to the clan and the last to remain standing. He was still young and his neighbours took pity on him when he was left to fend for himself. They tried to help him and had healers and sages try to relieve the 'curse', but to little avail. Through this period Haunt threw himself into magic and alchemy in order to find a cure. He eventually developed an elixer which would sort of freeze his internal processes, slowing down his aging and the progress of his condition. The elixir needs dragon blood, however.

Haunt kept this fact a secret and traveled away. He hasn't been able to create a cure with a less creepy key component in the decades since. Haunt gathers the blood he needs from various sources. He's tried being a healer for a period, gathering small portions of blood from patients while treating their wounds. He fought as a mercenary and stayed back after battles, coming out to draw blood from the warriors who had died. Nowadays he simply trades his goods or pays dragons for their blood.
