Uh-oh, looks like this refugee wandered a little too far from her home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting her!

Soon after BestFriends hatched, she and her 4 siblings (Senwith, Meinwen, Lucretia, and Fimbulvetr) were riding on the back of their father, who was being chased away by the fearsome Tundra known as Mirfak.

Fimbulvetr was still riding on the back of his father, but Senwith, Meinwen, Lucretia, and BestFriends were hiding instead. Bestfriends began to fly away - and so did her brother, Senwith. They both decided to fly off to a place where Mirfak wouldn't get them.

BestFriends is somewhat less traumatized from the incident than her brother is, but she's still trying to find a place where she can live safely. As her name implies, she's a rather friendly dragon - even making friends with one of Mirfak's sons that stopped by Crow Callers, known as BuryMeFaceDown.

BestFriends met a nocturne named Cleveland in Alligator Clan and the two decided to have kids in a Fire Flight lair, so the two left the clan for a week and returned with three hatchlings. They named them Rocky, BlueFlame and Smokey. Rocky decided to travel with his Mother BestFriends until old enough to travel solo. Being tht Cleveland was of a high rank of Hydra Clan, Rocky, BlueFlame and Smokey were also heir to Hydra Clan and the Passport challenge.

BestFriends was gladly welcomed into the Septarian Territory with her hatchling, Rocky, as there was always room for another pleasant soul or two around the stony surroundings that was the Septarian Territory. Seastar, figuring she must be famished and tired from being on the run with a hatchling, allowed her to stay at his little inn to rest up and eat something. She was allowed to rest for a comfortable length of time, before being sent on her own way when her hatchling could fend for themself. It would be too risky to stay for too long when Mirfak could potentially reach her with moderate ease from across the border of the plaguelands, if he so choose.

East lay Mirfak's other haunt, the Tangled Wood, so BestFriends headed west to put some distance between her and both places. There, she befriended a Spiral, Halley. Halley listened to her tale and said he intended to ask Tyrian of the Viridian Labyrinth to train him to fight the Shade. He pointed out that Sornieth was only so large and a dragon's endurance only so much, so perhaps BestFriends could learn some self-defense. Curious, BestFriends agreed to try, and they plotted a course north then east through Dragonhome, giving Mirfak's homes a generous berth. Unfortunately, Tyrian had retired, so she referred Halley to an ally in the Windswept Plateau. Halley delayed his trip to help BestFriends with their nest. After that, they split up to muddle the trail for Mirfak: Halley departed for Wind territory, while BestFriends and a fellow traveler, Lamia, set their sights south.

BestFriends returned to Alligator Clan where she raised a nest of three hatchlings. Rocky she took with her when she left the first time. BlueFlame had become a news journalists and was headed to a
Water Flight clan. Although the rumors were that she was trying to get a good story because Alligator Clan was considering moving to The Sea of 1,000 Currents, it was never verified why BlueFlame had left Alligator Clan. Smokey, was BestFriends only hatchling who was still in Alligator Clan when she returned. Through Smokey, BestFriends got the information about BlueFlame.
