Long ago, on the altar made of stone,
a girl lying, she's not alone.
Her heart beat becoming weaker,
all for sake of glory seeker.

Had she only it then,
she wouldn't have been caught again.
Had she listened to her ally,
As a sacrifice, she wouldn't die.

Was she born just for this?
Just to be given to the abyss?
If she had to suffer, so will they,
their bodies were hers to slay.

As she gasped for her last breath,
slowly pulling her, it was death.
As her mind faded to black,
she made her mind to come back.

The night sky had shown its glory many times before girl became aware of her own existence. She was here, yet she wasn't. She could see, but not touch. She could hear, but not speak. She knew, yet she didn't. Nothing was as it was before. Everything was the same, yet it wasn't. She couldn't grasp the truth, was it a dream, or reality?

She was looking at the altar, the place her life was taken. How long was she looking at it? Why could she even see it? So she moved a bit closer, then again and again... Until she placed her hand on the cold stone. She was ready to feel the chills, but she felt nothing. Her hand transparent and pale, it looked as if it was made of stone as well. She moved the hand closer to her face, slowly touching her own face. There was no warmth left in her.

But she needed no warmth. No matter what she became, she only had one goal. She, who became a sacrifice for a god in whom she didn't believe, and he who took away her life to gain the favor of the same god. It was time for them to dance once again. Even if she had to roam this plan for eternity, she will have his life in her hands. She will make sure he suffers as she did, she will make sure everything he owns is taken away. Nothing of his shall remain untainted, nothing of his will be left sacred. So she roamed Sornieth, watching the battles of the First Dragons, their rise, and fall, and she waited. She waited for him to return to this realm. And he did.

Unlike her, who remained unmoving, who remained dead, he lives yet again, as a dragon of the new world. Unsuspecting of his crimes, unsuspecting of his misfortune. She knows, for he is her prey. She saw his birth, she saw his becoming. She watched him grow up, she looked as he created a family of his own. She watched as he gained wealth, as he grew confident in who he was and what he had. And she took it all away, one by one, she shattered his world. Piece by piece, she tainted with her revenge, until it was only two of them left.

His mate dying was her doing, one of his daughters being killed was her doing as well. His remaining daughter, while alive, was as if she were dead. His fortune spent on his hope to save them, his reputation ruined due to his failure to save any of them. He had nothing left, his pride shattered, his world gone, his tears dried... His misery fed her power, made her stronger.
She, who got a hold of a body, a corpse, to use for her purpose... She had his life in her grasp, but she wanted more. The corpse she wore as her skin, the corpse she used his misery to make livelier, she will use it to gain his trust, to gain his love, now that he is most vulnerable. Just as he did to her, after having her family taken away and her home burned to the ground without her knowing the perpetrator, approaching her, comforting her, whispering slowly, lovingly...

She will give him children to love yet again, and she will turn them against him. Death alone would not sate her, for she would torture him as long as she can, give him a piece of his world back, just to take it back shattered more than it was before. No matter how long it takes, or how many lives pass, she will not stop shattering until his world is not made of pieces, but of grains, as small as sand. And she will be the one turning the hourglass.
