xKirito was always a strong one. He would always win the play-fights with his nestmates and the other hatchlings in his birth clan. Occasionally, he'd even win against some of the adults in training, all before he reached adulthood himself. He never knew how to hold back. He was often punished for attacking his clanmates without warning, coating the floors in blood, never his own. Soon enough, nobody wanted to near him; that is, until he was invited to train under some of the experienced warriors of his clan. Kirito was raised to show more mercy than when he was a hatchling. He learned to accept others' defeat and to understand that a fleeing enemy is more than handled, that there is no need to chase after. He learned the pride of his lineage, the Night Warrior clan, and learned that his purpose in life was to protect, train, and breed. Finding his charge was a sidequest, one he often forgot about. Kirito walked the warpath more or less on his own. Occasionally he had a friend or partner by his side, but more often than not he had to watch them leave him in one way or another. Some died, some found his ferocity overwhelming, some simply left. He was taught by this that he couldn't really trust anyone but himself, himself and his family that is.
