One of the two founders of the Explorers of the Sky. Thayn is jovial and strong-willed dragon, who was tasked to explore the world by the Windsinger, along with his counterpart, Mariya. Thayn's perseverance is unrivaled, and he'll always see an exploration through to the end, using his strenght in conjunction with his magic to create powerful wind-infueled physical attacks.

Though he was created at the same time as Mariya, Thayn is technically the younger, for Mariya was the first to take form. Still, this doesn't take away the fact that Thayn is often the "straight man" to Mariya's "funny gal", and he tends to look at risks with a more clear-headed mind rather than Mariya's near-reckless lust for adventure. That isn't to say he doesn't enjoy a little challenge himself... he's just more likely to be wary of trouble when it presents itself.

Thayn's favorite kinds of treasures are those that are the most ancient. Trinkets and artifacts that have been around for as long as time... he can't get enough of it. He loves unearthing things from old, collapsed caverns, finding ancient passageways, and figuring out millenia-old puzzles. Even if something looks dusty and ugly to an outsider, Thayn will be able to see its true value.

Thayn isn't the best about talking with others, often finding himself at a loss for words unless asked specifically about his explorations, in which case he'll be able to talk for hours on end- often to the annoyance of those who asked in the first place. It's not that he wants to be annoying, he just... can't always quite catch himself in his enthousiasm. Still, those who are willing to hear him out will find a kind, loyal dragon underneath. He often gifts his friends with things he thinks they will enjoy or find useful as a sign of how much he appreciates them.
