Phil woke up on a cold beach holding his head, a scar was forming over his stomach, he looked down at himself then let out a sigh. A large pain stuck him in the chest. he’d lost everything- five years of his life swept away. A shock ran through his system ‘My sons!’ he thought desperately, searching the near vicinity for any sign of his family. An unfortunately familiar groan sounded to his left. the tiny beast, it had followed him. A distressed and pitiful laugh erupted from Phil.

”Five years down the drain because of you? I can believe how stupid I could be, thank’s to you little buddy… I only have two lives left” he sighed grabbing the tiny zombie by the tail, hanging it up upside down before him. “did your spider friend follow or no?” he joked then tossing the beast aside. It started stumbling back over, however, this time didn’t start attacking.
The sound of beating wings caught Phil’s attention as four dragons appeared before him. Two of them seemed to lead the others. “You’re not from around here…” one of the two followers spoke up cautiously with almost a sneer. “Karl shut up…” snapped a small woman, smacking him upside the head.
Clearing his throat, attention was moved back to one of the leading dragons. ‘What Karl said is true, you aren’t from around here, you look wounded. Also is that small thing yours? it seems- attached…” he thought aloud, outstretching a hand to shake. Phil shook his hand then nodded. “unfortunately yes the scuffed bugger is mine…” he sighed, not wishing to explain further.

Finally, with danger gone, soft white lights flashed from the wounds coving Phil’s body. The chunks ripped from his skin first turned black then paled out as they healed. A groan escaped the man as he slowly sat up holding his head. Head, undamaged… Wings, tattered but flyable… sword, missing… “wait, missing?” he grumbled looking around quickly. His eyes fell on the two blood-covered boys passed out across from him. “Idiots… I told you I’d come home…”
