Inez was born in grassy plains leading into a bamboo forest. She started exploring very young and still has the enthusiasm she grew up with. Inez has a tendency to pick up anything remotely interesting without caring about its history, a sure way of getting into trouble. She's always had a knack for crafting and has been known to leave little presents for others to find. Her inability to sit still and her overwhelming curiousity led her out of her home and into the land of travellers.
During one of her travels farther than usual, she took a break near a plume of grey smoke and delighted in the slight breeze. It wrapped around her, played with her, and she giggled in glee until she remembered her job.
"Sorry, I've gotta go. Important and all that," She told it in sorrow. But before she could leave, something tugged at her mind. It invited her to enter the building she hadn't given any attention until. Whether it was pure curiosity or magic, she didn't know but either way she entered it. Tapestries hung elegantly, each for a different element. Fragmented glass scattered across the floor with her every movement. Chatoyant gems hung from each tapestry, now faded with time and weather and she picked a few colourful ones out. It seemed out of a chimeric fantasy. A somber atmosphere arrested the room and Inez couldn’t shake the feeling it was mourning. She twisted her head to look down the hallway, where she gasped in surprise. What seemed like hundreds of paintings covered the walls, from high roof to dusty floor. It seemed meticulously arranged to not crowd the onlooker and yet Inez stared for what felt like hours, overwhelmed.
A few butterflies followed her as she dutifully but happily followed the smoke, the halls growing brighter and seemingly newer...
