Biography

Ijou

"All the materials bend to my will."

Blood and agony, death and decay. That's what was said to be in a prolific life of a plague dragon. Ijou was told the same as a child, and he thought he would have to fight to spread the word of the Plaguebringer when he grew up.

His will was not that of a missionary of the plague, though. Ijou wanted to be an artist. His skills at making small statues of legends and gods were astonishing at the least. His clan wasn't too excited about the idea of a fit male doing something else than fighting for dominance, so Ijou had to pack his things and leave his former life behind.

For months he looked for a mentor to teach him even more than he already knew, while continuing his work in peace. There was no crafting material he couldn't handle, but when he stumbled upon a huge, volcanic rock along a mountainside, he knew it would be the way to reach the status of a true artist. So he carved and he carved, this time a gigantic bust of the Plaguebringer. The patience and skill needed to carve in the brittle and unreliable rock would've been inconceivable to any other dragon.

After Ijou was ready with his first masterpiece, he was certain even his former clanmates would take him seriously. But he wasn't going back to his old clan. He wanted to wander on, make art for everyone to see, and one day find a home where he is appreciated as the talent he is.

Yellow Jumpers scampered about in the land of decay, making their dens in the flesh of corpses and entrails scattered across the territory of the Plaguemother. Ijou chased them down to collect his favorite snacks in a piece of red fabric. The silky textile was found on the mangled body of a Fae that obviously wouldn't be needing it anymore.

He looked to the tunnel above him and dove out of a hole in the level of viscera. This land was like a great heart that ceased beating, he was captured by it for a moment before his body flew down with a SMACK!

2381132p.png Vahmeera: "Who sent you?" The Mirror gave a snarl to show her fangs sharpened into beautiful needles like his own.

1765607p.png Chitlehua: "Vahmeera," she moved her pustule covered body closer and laid her lifeless eyes on Ijou. "He is lost. Bring him back."

Before Ijou was able to speak the Mirror smacked him in the head with a rock, then the whole world went black.
