Biography
"You did your best," her father says when she returns. His vines and branches move around him, their leaves soft against her skin alongside the gentle touch of his claws.
"There is nothing wrong with what we are," her mother says, curving her body so as many of her many eyes as possible meet hers. "We do not have to be what necromancers are. We can do other things and in different ways."
Their hands are gentle on her head as they help adjust her pack on her back and dust the last pieces of ash from her head.
"You will find your place," they assure her. "And we hope you let us see it."
She braces herself for the magma-hot wind, for the buffets of ash but the day is cooler than usual, the winds softer. She stretches her wings, shifts her shoulders, and launches herself into the sky.
Lore bit by Essay of Thoughts
"Hello young one, you have come a long way, haven't you?"
The voice was gentle, but had an underlying tone of danger, causing Sanctify to back away. 'Lich!' her mind screamed as the spiral crept closer, the hatchling's claws catching on the fleshy earth as she tried to retreat.
"Relax, I'm not going to harm you. Blessing would have my hide for that."
It tried to reassure her, but it did not work, she wouldn't fall for its tricks. She kept backing up until she bumped into someone else. Above her was a proud looking Pearlcatcher, a fellow Servus, and She took the opportunity to dart behind the older dragoness.
"Aniso, we aren't supposed to scare those that come looking for Ms. Blessing."
The other Servus chastised the lich, and it's ears drooped.
"I didn't mean it Rel, she just panicked!"
"Need I remind you, you are a lich, it's natural to fear you."
"Whatever. I'm leaving."
The lich spiraled off, leaving the two Necroservi alone.
"I apologize for him, he's a bit of a jerk at times, now let me take you to Ms. Blessing."
The hatchling shook her head, terrified, she didn't want to meet a more powerful Lich.
"She's quite nice little one, and a Necromancer."
That made her hesitate in running, and against her better judgement, follow the Pearlcatcher. Perhaps this was her place? Only time will tell.
