Vex is the lead thief and trickster of the clan. She teaches all the hatchlings what she can before they either stay, get sent off to help Shadowbinder, or travel to other clans. She's the very best thief, able to fetch treasure from dragons that would see her coming otherwise. Her trickery also leads her to play pranks on rivals. Her best friend- and enemy at times- is Rhosa.

Vex's family is Ridgeback, known for their thievery. As being sticky-handed was in her blood, she stole her way to a small fortune. She used her fortune to buy news genes. Her shaded body became shiny. Her wings grew a unique pattern, and her skin swirled with violet smoke. After that was complete, she took her final potion- one that would turn her into a fluffy coat. She loved how their faces look, and she hated her nose. A while later, her littermate, big brother Shadow, changed his form to that of a Coatl as well. They were able to connect with each other on a whole new level that way. Their brother Yokai was sent off to the Shadow army to defend the land of their deity mother that they resemble.
