Biography
MOURVÈDRE
|| Leader ||
|| Leader ||
|
The grand matriarch of the Mistral Gusts was once a thundering lightning guardian. Hailing from the Shifting Expanse, she belonged to a large clan known as the clan of the Ampere Plains. It was a lively clan consisting mostly lightning dragons, but they welcomed anyone who wished to stop by, even if it was for a visit. Mourvèdre, known originally as Tidestorm, flourished within the clan. The elders imbued her with valuable knowledge, while the diversity kept her open-minded about other flights. As much as she enjoyed herself the time came for her to begin her journey. Not as a guardian, but as per the clan’s tradition of letting young dragons go explore beyond the clan’s territory, and even the Shifting Expanse if they pleased. It is a journey of finding one's true place. If a member’s true place isn’t within the clan, then they should go out and find where it is. Slightly heartbroken as she had made many friends within the clan, Tidestorm flew away from her home in search of her destiny. She ended up finding it in the weirdest of places. Out in the middle of the desert, sat squat on a cactus, was a small fae who called himself Fauber. The young dragon was a wayward explorer who left his old clan in favor for adventure. Upon hearing each other’s stories, the two came to the brilliant idea of starting their own clan together. Surely this was what destiny had in store for them. Scoping out a good sized space in the Highland Scrubs the two built the clan on their own. The humble clan grew steadily in size, and all seemed well. However, something tugged at Tidestorm. Somehow, she felt that her journey was not yet complete. The static-filled desert she once considered home was no longer as comforting as it once was. As it turned out, Fauber was feeling the same. Though a weighted decision the two decided it was for the best and moved out in search for a better home, the rest of the clan following suite. |

It didn’t take long before the two encountered the Windswept Plateau, and Tidestorm felt right at home! The light, friendly, gusts and breeze; the merry chimes and hums of the wind dragons, the colorful artistry that painted the sky in the form of kites and balloons. It all just clicked. Tidestorm belonged here. The clan swiftly settled into their new home in the Windsinger’s domain. Here it would and does continue to grow. As it grew, so did its leader. Over time Tidestorm found herself changing in many ways. Her scales shifted colors, settling on majestic purples and pinks, while her body transformed into that of one of the Windsinger’s children; a skydancer. Lastly, to complete the transformation she shed her old name and took on a new one, Mourvèdre. She now continues her duty as matriarch of the clan. A weighted role, but an important one she takes very seriously. The skydancer is an embodiment of positivity and hard work. She is among the most diligent workers of the clan, always doing something to help. Her passion is the clan, and it shows. Her job as a leader is well-suited; everyone is sure to know their roles, while also encouraged to follow their dreams. She is a leader who supports passion and the interests of her members. However, there are times when Mourvèdre can be too harsh or brutally honest, but she only means it as a way to prepare her dragons for the harsh realities of life. She loves each and every member as if they were her children, and always wants the best for them. The skydancer cooks, dotes on all the hatchlings, and boosts morale and positivity within the clan by socializing as much as possible. There is a reason she’s known as the “mother” of the clan. But when she's not taking on that title, Mourvèdre spends her time alone studying space. Thoroughly fascinated by it, she dreams of one day visiting space herself, just to see exactly what’s up there… Mourvèdre is mated to Fauber, a coatl who was once a fae, and who helped her find the Mistral Gusts. They love each other dearly and are grateful for the wonderful life they’ve been granted by destiny. |
