Ankarv is the undisputed second-in-command ("deputy", as he calls himself) of the Toxic Wastes, and the force and aggression behind the overall leadership. Though kind at heart and eager to find stragglers to take in, Ankarv has a short temper and never tolerates being talked down to or any threats towards his clan. He may be small, but he packs a big punch - and he's got a sharp tongue to boot.

Hainu Affectionally called "Han", Ankarv's Hainu friend is rarely seen in the Toxic Wastes, preferring to meet out in the open air above the Wyrmwound instead. The two often explore together, with Ankarv riding on the back of his "trusty steed" or racing him through the skies. Though Han remains neutral towards the overall well-being of the clan, he is very attached to Ankarv and often gives him information on the Beastclans near the Bamboo Falls to "do with as he pleases".

Backstory

Before Ankarv's egg hatched, it was stolen from the Scarred Wasteland by a small group of lair-less dragon desperados who wanted a Plague-aligned member in their gang. They expected a powerful beast - they were shocked when a tiny Fae hatched instead. They kept him nonetheless, vowing to make him the best little Fae they could.

Growing up in a multi-species group led by a very charismatic Ridgeback, Ankarv ended up learning most of his language and mannerisms in a decidedly non-Fae sort of way, and learned to emote much more than typical members of his species. He quickly became a beloved member of the gang, and as he grew, he learned to rob travelling dragons and raid clans in the dead of night as well as any of the others. Respect was quickly earned and he became a highly valued member of the gang.

This went on for many years until they made the decision to return to the Scarred Wasteland for "Plague loot". While attempting to steal from a large lair near the Wyrmwound, Ankarv was surprised by another Plague dragon and struck directly in the face by a powerful burst of magic. When his desperado family found him prone on the ground, the flesh of his face melted clean off, they assumed he had been killed and hurried out of the area in fear of whatever had done so. However, true to his Plague nature, Ankarv survived the attack and was up and moving again later in the night.

Left alone for the first time in his life, he huddled under one of the great protrusions of the Wyrmwound in the hopes that his gang would return for him and all would be well. Instead, he met Tox, who was scavenging for alchemy ingredients in the area. Drawn to Ankarv because of his interesting wounds, Tox struck up conversation, and once it was established that they were both loners they made the tentative decision to travel together until they found a suitable lair. There was no going back to the bandit life from then on.

Nowadays Ankarv spends most of his time out scavenging in unclaimed territory for clan supplies or relaxing on Andiron's antlers, waiting for the perfect moment to enforce his authority against someone who steps out of line.
