Peaches

Peaches, Ilvastar's mate, is rarely seen in the lair during the day. The call of the wind to her is strong, and she spends every day flying to new places to explore singing as she flies in a deep and booming voice. She adores being in the air, but her body is built for the ground, so she moves in a loping stride, launching into the air every now and then to get over obstacles, or sometimes just because she feels like it. Everywhere she goes she makes friends and collects stories. She has a vast collection of friends and an even vaster collection of stories. No new piece of information escapes her notice, and she always has up-to-date knowledge of the intimate comings and goings of all eleven flights. Her massive gossip network is one of the most efficient in the Windswept Plateau and the Wrathful Storm unofficially go to her for information when necessary. Every morning before she flies off to somewhere new, she watches the sun rise on a high perch not far from the lair, and every evening she makes sure to watch the sunset before setting off for home. "Sunrises," she always says, "are better than sunsets, because sunrise means home." When she arrives home she almost always has some little trinkets and presents for her lairmates. Her arrival is thus always eagerly anticipated by all, especially the hatchlings, and of course Ilvastar.
