Lyune can be a hard dragon to get along with. It would be an understatement to say she didn't have a normal upbringing, and even now as an adult, she bears many psychological scars from her childhood. No, she doesn't blame her parents, it just... It is what it is. At any rate, she can be a hard dragon to get along with.

Lyune can never truly relax around others. Conversations are a battleground to prove her worth as a dragon. Should you ever make the mistake of making even the smallest comment that doesn't paint her in a good light, you will be in for a tongue lashing that would make the very Shade flinch. But her assertive and domineering personality is only a facade to cover her deep insecurities surrounding her origins and identity. More than anything, she wants to be known for herself, for the dragon she is, not for the crystals in her body.

History

Lyune's "mother," Ietepere, is the source and first victim of a mysterious Arcane disease that causes crystals to grow in her body -- and causes eggs to spawn around her. While her children are not contagious as she is, exposure to Ietepere causes their crystals to grow, so her assistant Carmichael sends them far away, where they’ll be safe.

Lyune was the first hatchling to emerge from one of Ietepere's magical eggs. Lyune spent her childhood under constant observation and monitoring as her mother and Charmicheal ran constant tests and experiments on and around her. As soon as they were completely assured in their assessment of her condition - she was not contagious like her mother was - the two scientists who could barely be called her parents had to send her far, far away. Lyune was only just a teenager when she was flung into the world and left to defend for herself.

She knew, in theory, it was for her own good. Her body would grow more crystals whenever she was in close proximity to Ietepere. Leaving her childhood home, the quarantine zone, was for her own good to keep her body from tearing itself apart over time. She knew that, in theory, but her heart did not believe it.
