All stories have to start somewhere.

They say at the beginning of the world, during the great Deity wars, the Plaguebringer's eldest son ruled as a King, spreading the Filthy One's will and terrifying influence throughout the lands, aided by his loyal children.

Anxious whispers of Plague's ferocity go back in time as far as the Plague Flight itself. There is always a seed of truth at the core of myths and legends, and this family is at the root of Plague's.

Mythos is equal parts elegant, calculating, and savage. On the front lines, he dances the dance of death, blending ferocity with grace as he tears his way through all who dare oppose the Plaguebringer and her ideals. His wings have been permanently stained, proof of his ability to play the part of the merciless reaper just as well as the brilliant tactician.

Even though his time on the front lines has grown shorter over the years, warriors from every Flight whisper in low voices whenever his name surfaces, as it inevitably does. There are many, many stories that flitter from tongue to tongue in the darkness around campfires. Once upon a time, one story goes, during one of the Plaguebringer's clashes with the Lightweaver, a rampaging Emperor surfaced on the battlefield. On the orders of the Plaguebringer herself, Mythos eliminated it single-handedly. They say his unmistakable gold markings originated from that legendary battle and that the adornments he wears are actually made from the Emperor's golden scales, a trophy taken from the most daunting of foes. Plague dragons do favor the bones and armor of their defeated enemies, after all.

Stories passed from dragon to dragon, clan to clan, carry more weight than any transient rule established by dragon society. Many of these stories are tinged with awe and a palpable, gripping fear that roots itself into the hearts of entire generations. The Law has no power in Plague territory. Out here, there is only the Lore.
