Biography

DO NOT EXALT!

Uh-oh, looks like this pretty blue boy wandered a little too far from his lair (6026, InvisibleNova), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

InvisibleNova
Downpour loved the idea of setting off to see the world ever since he met Paderau, a traveling guardian who stayed with his clan for a time. They had a nest of hatchlings together before deciding to go seperate ways, perhaps to meet again someday!

brilliantsky
Downpour's first stop was a small clan in the Starfall Isles, where the Crystalspine Reaches met the Starwood Strand. After wandering lost for a little while, a bright pink chattering Coatl found him and took him back to the clan lair. The clan was a resting stop for travelers, and so he fit right in among all the dragons, many of which were stopping there on the way to serve the Arcanist in the Obsevatory. He exchanged incredible stories with all the clan members and visitors; the images they described of faraway places only making his desire to travel even stronger. So, he set out again, but not before the can gave him one last parting gift: a small companion so that he might always be protected and never get lonely on his travels.

Pest
Downpour found himself in a not so small clan near Rotrock Rim in The Scarred Wasteland - a scary place to be for a small fae originally from The Windswept Plateau. He wasn't all surprised to end up there - after all, the Scarred Wasteland was constantly in the periphery of both the Starfall Isles and the Windswept Plateau, like a huge pulsing wound of the world. Little Downpour soon realized that most dragons in the Scarred Wasteland was nice towards him, and the clan he found quickly became a sort of home. Soon he also discovered himself being the father of four eggs (although he never got to see the hatchlings... The clan leader, mother of said hatchlings, told him that weaklings like them never would survive but that the Plaguemother loved all her children equally. Downpour had a feeling he knew what she meant, and decided to not ask further)
He liked it where he was, but he wanted to see more of the world and eventually he decided it was time to say goodbye

Zikul
A particularly nasty ash storm hit at the very same evening as Downpour entered into the Ashfall Waste. Taken entirely by surprise by this cruel weather, the little fae struggled to get across the border again - but to no avail. The dust around him was like a wall, and soon he was more than lost.

The lifeless little fae was found by Takyroth who braved the weather to make a patrol. Although the storm calmed very soon, the fae's condition was critical, and it was clear that he was not well adjusted to the surrounding climate.

Reymiriath hasted to put together wrist and ankle protectors, as well as a tail clover, all of these imbued with a spell to protect against the heat. Soon, Downpour started to emerge from his feverous state, accepting the food and water treated to him by dragons he had never seen before in his life.

A small, dark hatchling visited the injured rather often, telling strange stories in his monotone voice - he'd speak horrible things sometimes, and soft things othertimes. He spoke about the shade, and about unseen energies, those beyond magic itself. Every time he visited he fed Downpour shreds of something almost papery. Perhaps these shreds were what changed his wing pattern, though how would that be possible?

Huldra recognized the lack of a daub scroll at the same time she recognized the appearance of the gene on their guest. She was perturbed, to put it mildly. When Downpour outright blamed his theft on a hatchling, Huldra decided she'd had enough and made him a swift demand - he'd mate with her to repay her scroll loss in hatchlings for the Flamecaller. Downpour had no choice but to meet her demand - and after some days of courting, they got along well enough to produce a nest of three.

Once the nest was hatched, Downpour gathered his things and took a last look at the hatchlings, knowing that he'd never see them again, and that it would be better to forget them.

Emputti
After travelling to the Sea of Thousand Currents he happened upon Lightning who had been scavenging near Tsunami Flats. The Pearlcatcher invited him to come with him to his lair that was home to Aava's clan. The clan leader accepted him right away and asked his story just moments after the arrival. The story touched her heart, having lost hatchlings herself, and she took him under her wing as long as he stayed. The old warrior Redghost tried a few times to invite Downpour to hunt with him but Downpour always declined. Then it was time to move on once again.
