Cavae, by far the oldest among us, has always been a little troublesome among the clan. Reclusive and quiet, he has not aged fast, as is the case with some dragons over others; his age is merely experience rather than years, and he shows no signs of wishing for the Rite of Exaltation anytime soon. In fact, Cavae's temperament indicates that he would much rather die in battle, fighting tooth and nail for the dragons he loves. His temper is unusual for a Coatl, although he can also be gentle and affectionate when it comes to hatchlings or younger dragons. He's a fighter at heart and a skilled hunter, and barely ever misses a catch; it's said that his skill feeds half the clan. He has a long history, of which he never hesitates to tell anyone, having fought in so many battles he forgets their names and gets them mixed up sometimes. Cavern is fascinated by his tails of valour and war, although they make some of the other dragons uneasy. Cavae was hatched in the Coatl's homeland, the Ashfall Wastes, a fact he is insistently proud of and never fails to mention to other coatls who weren't. Although he can seem boastful, he is quite friendly and loyal to those he knows, and will defend them fiercely and to the death. At his birth his bright colours were seen as a blessing among his coatl clan, and he was declaired a good omen for times to come. He was given a ruby locket when he decided to leave his original clan, as a reminder of his home and a carrier of his blessings, and he has kept it with him for all the years he has been alive. It is thought that he would suffer a fate similar to a disgraced Guardian's if it was ever stolen or lost; pining until death, with no reason to live anymore.
