Clan Starscatter's engineering department started when Dimea was still a guardian undertaking the search. While in the Shifting Expanse, she encountered a handsome imperial working on a dangerous looking reactor. With a cry of "Stop that! My poor hurting charge!" she whisked the reactor away from the bewildered imperial, and brought it back to her clan.

Since "fixing" the reactor, she has started to look into building more dangerous interesting machinery, including some that altered a dragon's genetics. (And quite successfully, she will add). Though she isn't a guardian anymore, the reactor she once claimed as her charge still holds a special place in her heart.

Just like that imperial she took it from.
