Hatched on Sornieth, Extrarius never knew the planet his family originally came from. He always felt like he didn't belong even before he knew of its existence. When the big reveal finally came he wished he hadn't been born with that 'special' trait. He blamed it for his fascination with bones as well.

Extrarius ended up moving to the plaugelands due to the amount of fresh bones in the area. One particular clan seemed to be surrounded by them, so he hung around. Then suddenly a clan officer hired him to help identify a deceased dragon. He'd seen the merchant a week before; there was no mistaking his bones even with a fractured leg. It was at this point Extrarius learned it wasn't common to be able to see through a dragon's hide and peek at their bones.

He stayed with the clan when they offered him shelter and daily meals. In return he'd identify bones whenever asked.
